Bridging the Gap: Enhancing the Transit Rider Experience for Agencies of All Sizes

Oftentimes, smaller transit agencies face significant hurdles in deploying the same bus stop amenities, such as real-time information signage, that larger metropolitan agencies can offer. This disparity is primarily due to the economies of scale; procuring and maintaining advanced technology can be disproportionately expensive for agencies operating smaller fleets. The lack of these modern amenities, however, can directly impact the rider experience, leading to uncertainty, frustration, and ultimately, a potential decrease in ridership.

At Way Sine, we are committed to leveling this playing field. Our core mission is to develop smart, scalable, and affordable solutions that improve both the rider experience and agency communication, regardless of size. Whether an agency needs a solution for a single critical stop or is looking to outfit a network of hundreds, our technology is designed to be accessible, easy to deploy, and cost-effective. We believe that every transit rider deserves access to accurate, timely information that makes their commute more predictable and less stressful.

We are incredibly proud to partner with the fine folks at Flint Hills Area Transportation Agency (ATA Bus). This dedicated agency has been a cornerstone of public transportation in its region since 1976, providing safe, reliable, and affordable service to its communities. Soon, ATA Bus riders will begin to see upgrades at select stops as Way Sines solar powered real-time information signs are deployed. These signs will provide accurate information on bus arrival times, service alerts, and other critical announcements. This move signifies a major step forward for ATA Bus, demonstrating their commitment to adopting modern technology to better serve their community and enhance the journey for every passenger.

This deployment demonstrates the power of innovative, appropriately scaled solutions in extending the advantages of advanced transit technology to agencies that were previously constrained by issues of size and scale.
